Dressing My Fiance for Autumn – A/W Trends

With the autumn in full swing, I love layering up my outfits from the colder weather, but what about your man looking stylish at the same time? The current trends for men’s fashion are going back in time, and it’s true that history does, in fact, repeat itself because plaid checked shirts and 90’s bucket hats are here to stay. I’m always trying to make subtle introductions into Darren’s wardrobe, here are some of the popular trends you’ll find in men’s fashion this autumn. Vintage Inspired 90’s fashion has undoubtedly made a comeback across the last few seasons, but you can expect to see a homage again to the decade that brought us the logo-heavy brands, tracksuits and dungarees. If you want to kick your fashion back to the nineties, then the bucket hat is a staple purchase. Made famous by the Gallagher brothers at Glastonbury, this fairly questionable headwear is certainly not going anywhere fast. Plaid The iconic plaid was back on the catwalk during fashion week in London, Milan, New York, Florence and …

Men’s Grooming // Disposable vs Double Edge Razors #AD

It’s been a while since I’ve posted about men’s grooming, but as we hit the mid-way point of 2018, I’ve been planning my content for the next 6 months and this is defo a subject I want to talk more about. Especially getting my fiance (that felt weird to write…) to share his opinions about all things beards! If you are someone who chooses to shave, then you know all about the fuss of deciding which razor to buy. You stand in the shop for ages looking at all the different types with no clue what the difference is, apart from the fact that some have fancy patterns on them. So how should you decide what razor to use? I’ve been doing some research and found out about Double Edge Safety Razors, a more long-lasting solution to your shaving needs. I decided it would be worth looking at the benefits of switching shaving styles and put them in a post for anyone else who is having the same issue as me. So here it is, …

Lifestyle // Being a Bad Friend and How To Fix It

Over the past few years, I turned into a real homebody. I find joy in having fresh flowers on my windowsill, spending a Saturday morning cleaning every corner of the house, to try and encourage spring to hurry up and I love to meal plan. Sometimes I worry if I’ve become boring. I’m massively aware that I don’t see or check in with my friends as often as I should and for that I get the guilt. The guilt that I’m a bad friend and should be around more. It doesn’t always have to be going out for drinks or food. Especially as we’re all trying to build up the savings pot for one thing or another…houses, weddings, babies. Sometimes, just catching up with friends, over a pot of tea and having a good gossip and heart-to-heart is all it takes. Especially as I spend so much time preening my home. Why not invite my closest pals over to enjoy it and sit on the newly-hoovered sofa. I mean, it won’t be free from dog …

Ok, so the 14th February is fast approaching and I’ll admit, I’ve always been one of those girls who think it’s a date designed for gals. Men’s Skincare // Introducing Moose Head

It’s a common gripe in my household that sometimes I get sent lovely packages from brands/PRs and my boyfriend asks if it’s something for him. Spoiler, it rarely is. So when the team at Australian men’s skincare brand, MooseHead got in touch to ask we wanted to try their new men’s skincare range it was a firm hell yes from us! Available at Primark, the collection consists of a facewash and moisturiser. So let’s hand over to Darren to get his opinion after using each of the products for the last three weeks… When Ruth told me I had my own blogger mail coming I was buzzing. I don’t really take too much notice of the products I use in the bathroom, usually grabbing what’s available so it was nice to have something of my own! The facewash is more like a scrub, as it’s quite grainy with a fresh scent. I use it morning and night in the shower and definitely feel more awake when I’ve used it. I have sensitive skin and a …
