30, Flirty & Thriving – Why Age Means Nothing

I just don’t feel 30. Is it because I don’t yet have kids so I’m quite carefree or is it simply because age literally nothing?

Well, the latter tbh.

I’ve been in the 30s club for five months now which is nothing really and I’m new to this decade of my life, but it’s so true that age is just a number.

And here’s why…

  1. I change my hair colour all the goddamn time. In the last 10 years I’ve been blonde, red, an ill-advised brown shade which was so not me and currently I’m platinum/grey. I love it and I hope I’m always indecisive and switching my hair colour as I continue through my 30s.
  2. My love of wearing colour and prints us going nowhere. Green faux fur? Gimme. Zebra print and lime green? Hello friend. I love planning my outfits and no plans if changing with age.
  3. Career goals aren’t the be all and end all. I’m lucky that I like my job, it’s an extension of my hobby almost. But those articles I used to read in Glamour about women climbing the ladder? I want to stay on top of my game and improve and evolve, but getting ‘to the top’ is no longer a focus.
  4. Afternoon tea is not for the elderly. Gimme mini sandwiches and scones and I’m legit so happy. Clotted cream is amaazing and whether prosecco is included or not, I’m ready to work through the tiers!

These photos were taken at Patisserie Valerie after my mum and I went along for afternoon tea and it was so good! Highly recommended!
